Laverne & Shirley was the best thing to come out of the show, “Happy Days”, which, let’s face it, was a tad sexist and a bit of a brodeo. So, it was nice to finally have a show starring women with actual written dialogue and not just scenes where they had to run to Fonzie whenever he snapped his fingers. (Infuriated? Who me?)
Get yourself a friend who can be a Schlemiel (bungling dolt) to your Schlemazl (chronically unlucky sap).
See? In case you don’t know Yiddish, I’ve saved you the trouble of looking these words up. Can you even believe how generous I become around the holidays? Don't get used to it. I go back to being a shmendrik on January first.
